Why 1 Litre? The Thinking Behind the Size.
You might have noticed that large copper dispensers — 5, 8, or even 10 litres — are widely available. We chose not to go that route, and the reason is straightforward: your health.
Copper vessels work by allowing a small, beneficial amount of copper to leach into the water when it's stored overnight or for a few hours. This is a well-established practice rooted in Ayurvedic tradition, and the science supports it — copper has natural antimicrobial properties and can support healthy digestion and immunity when consumed in the right amounts.
The key phrase is the right amounts. In a large dispenser, water sits for much longer — sometimes days — and continues to absorb copper well beyond what your body needs or can comfortably process. A 1 litre carafe is designed to be filled and used throughout the day, then refilled. The copper enrichment happens naturally at the right level, without excess.
It's also far easier to clean. Maintaining a large copper dispenser properly is genuinely cumbersome — the narrower the vessel and the larger the volume, the harder it is to reach every surface. Our carafe is sized for real life: easy to clean, easy to carry, easy to use.

A Note on Copper Cups — Why We Don't Sell Them
We get asked about copper drinking cups regularly — from customers and retailers alike. It's a fair question, and we want to answer it honestly.
We've made a deliberate decision not to stock copper cups, and it comes down to safety.
Copper cups are safe for drinking water that has been stored in copper overnight. However, they are not safe for drinking acidic beverages — beer, wine, spirits, soft drinks, or juices. Acidic liquids react with copper and cause significantly higher levels of copper to leach into the drink, which can be harmful and even toxic.
In the real world, cups get used for all kinds of drinks. We can't control how a copper cup is used once it leaves our hands — and we're not comfortable selling a product that carries a genuine risk of harm if used the way most people naturally use cups.
Our motto has always been: if it's not suitable for our own family, we don't sell it to others. Copper cups don't pass that test for us. So we don't sell them.
The Copper Carafe, on the other hand, is specifically designed for water — and used as intended, it's a beautiful, healthy, sustainable addition to your daily routine.
