Made from food safe grade #304 (18/8) Stainless Steel, these metal straws are guaranteed against rust, breaks or cracks- made to last a lifetime.
Packaging though may be recyclable still forms part of big wastage, we wanted to design a waste-free product with packaging not just recyclable but reusable too.
Single use plastic disposable straw is one of the worst plastic polluters in the world. Used for a few minutes, barely gets recycled.
World Wildlife Fund (WWF), has listed plastic straws as number 1 single use plastic polluter. In Australia, 2.47 billion plastic straws end up in landfill. They’re lightweight, so once they’re dropped or discarded, plastic straws easily blow into waterways and enter our oceans. Once in our oceans, they’re extremely dangerous for our marine wildlife.
According to Cleanup.org, Plastic Straws are the 12th most common item reported by clean up volunteers.
According to NRDC.ORG, we produce 300 million tons of plastic each year worldwide, half of which is for single-use items. That’s nearly equivalent to the weight of the entire human population.
