A Neti pot uses gravity to gently pour a saline solution into one nostril and out the other, flushing out mucus, allergens, and irritants from the nasal passages.

Boiled and cooled tap water (boil for 3–5 minutes, cool before use)

Filtered water using a filter that removes protozoa (NSF 53 or 58 standard)
Do NOT use plain tap water, as it may contain harmful organisms like Naegleria fowleri.

Once a week, disinfect with a solution of 1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water, or use a dishwasher if safe

Replace plastic Neti pots every few months (Personally we do not advocate to go for plastic Neti Pot).
How to Use a Neti Pot (Step-by-Step)
🔹 Materials Needed:

Neti pot
-
Distilled, sterile, or properly boiled water

Saline packets or homemade saline (1 tsp salt + ½ tsp baking soda per 2 cups of water)
Instructions:

Prepare saline solution and pour into the Neti pot.

Lean over a sink. Tilt your head sideways (about 45 degrees).

Insert the spout into the upper nostril.

Gently pour the solution; it will flow out through the lower nostril.

Breathe through your mouth during the process.

Once done, blow your nose gently.

Repeat on the other side.

Clean your Neti pot after use.

After recent nasal surgery (unless cleared by a doctor)
