Plastic disposable cutlery along with takeaway containers is one of the worst plastic polluters in the world. Used for a few minutes, rarely gets recycled because it's light weight and dirty.
According to Ocean Conservancy, an estimated 8 million metric tons of plastic enters our blue planet's marine waters annually. To put in perspective, this volume of trash in just one year is approximately equivalent to an entire garbage truck full of plastic being dumped into our ocean every minute of every day...on all 365 of those days.
