The tradition of eating off the leaves and making leaf plates and bowls has existed for thousands of years across different cultures and nations. People utilised natural resources available to them locally to make products for everyday use.

Areca Palm Leaf Plates and using Banana Leaf as a plate has been quite common specially in the Indian subcontinent where the two are available in abundance.

Our Leaf Plates are made from sustainable raw material resource and no trees are cut down in the process, moulded into shapes and sizes, simply using heat & water. Free from toxic chemicals, sealants and binding agents, this leaf plate is suitable for hot & cold foods and in the end, simply return it back to the nature either in a compost bin or bury in the ground.

Being natural, each leaf plate is unique and different to another with its own natural colour, texture and personality. You won't find two plates the same!

Plastic tableware along with cutlery is one of the biggest single use plastic polluters in the world. Used for a few minutes, discarded and rarely recycled, majority of single of plastic ends up in landfill or our waterways. According to estimates, less than 9% of plastic produced every year gets recycled.

IS THIS TABLEWARE COMPOSTABLE?
Yes, being Plant Leaves this tableware is 100% home & backyard compostable and does not require industrial composting. Simply bury it in the ground or in a compost bin where it will break down with the elements of nature.

We make sure all our products are sourced from sustainable materials and all our suppliers and stakeholders are treated fairly and respectfully. PACKAGING:
This product comes in a soft plastic packaging which is recyclable at Redcycle recycling. Being leaf Plates, they absorb moisture from the environment and we have tried other alternatives which so far haven't been able to solve the problem. We believe packaging is our responsibility and the onus is on us and not the consumers to find a solution to this packaging problem.
Hence, We partnered with RedCycle and customers can return the packaging at various collection bins located at Coles & Woolworths across the nation.
